The UK’s Department of Energy and Climate (DECC) has £100,000 to be used for energy efficiency skills training.

The competition will be open to proposals for training programmes to increase the skills of individuals responsible for energy use in non-domestic premises.

The DECC will judge the bids on a range of criteria which will include deliverability, value for money and fir in with the Department’s strategic priorities.

The bids have to be received by January 4th 2013.

The competition is the latest move by the government to boost energy efficiency, and the Green Deal is due to go into full operation next month and the government has published a wide-ranging energy efficiency strategy.
