Good Energy’s customer base saw an increase of 82% for gas and 35% of electricity in June compared to 35% last year, with the total number increasing from 97, 000 to 132,000.
“Our strong customer growth so far this year demonstrates that our offer of competitive pricing, 100% renewable electricity and award-winning customer service is compelling to an increasing number of consumers and businesses,” said good Energy chief executive Juliet Davenport in a statement.
“We have recently renewed our supply contract with the retailer Supergroup and are due to commence a new contract with the Eden Project this autumn. We would expect business gains of this nature to become an increasing part of our customer portfolio,” the company said.
They said that the increase is an important element of it’s overall growth and future focus as a supplier.
The overall yearly performance is expected to be in line with its expectations, although this is dependent on the profit received from it’s sale of its 50 MW West Raynham solar farm.
This sale is expected to be between £3.4 million and £6.8 million with the net profit on the sale around £1.4 million and £3.8 million.
