SSE is planning to conduct a trial on the internet for the Green Deal on 50 members of it’s staff before launching it to the public.
The company will test it’s newly developed computer system on it’s employees this autumn. After the initial trial SSE hopes that 100 Green Deal plans will be agreed by the end of this year which will be fully delivered in early 2014.
An SSE spokesman said: “We are particularly interested in the types of measures that Green Deal reports will recommend and how this relates to what the customer is actually looking for.
“We also want to see live projections of carbon savings as a result of installing measures across different types of properties.”
“Ultimately, this will give us case studies on what types of properties and situations are most suited to a Green Deal loan.”
